The Water Cycle

This week in Science we have been discussing the water cycle.

What do you know about the water cycle? Write a description about each stage of the water cycle, using the diagram below to help you.

  1. Water cycle start with when sun heats the water its called evaperation, all the water raise into the sky and it cools down and becomes clouds. That process is called condensation. Then the clouds become to heavy and start to rain, that is called precipitation. All the water fallen from the sky settle into the lake and oceans and that is called surfun off and then the whole water cycle starts again.

    1. You have used lots of great scientific vocabulary Navdeep - Well done! When the water falls and makes it way back to the ocean it's called surface run-off. Why do you think it's called that?

    2. The water descent always go back to the ocean. Sometimes the sun gets it from the flour.

  9. The water cycle starts when the sun heats up the sea that is called evaporation. Then it formers clouds that is called condensation. Then it rains that is called precipitation.
Then the water goes back in the sea that is called surface run off

  10. The water evaporates with the heat of the sun, which then converts into condensation. After it converts into condensation it finally makes the water (rain) precipitation into the river.
The whole process is repeated again which is called Surface Run Off.

  11. the sun hits the sea, it makes a gas, the gas turns into clouds, the clouds can't hold the rain, the rain or snow drops back into the sea. that's how the water
    cycle works.

  13. First the Sun heats the water of the sea. Then the water turns into vapour. This is called evaporation. The water vapour is light and so it goes up in the sky. Then because it is cold up there, the water vapours join up and forms clouds. This is called condensation. Then the clouds gets heavy with moisture and when it cannot hold any more moisture, then it starts to rain. This is called precipitation. Then the rain goes to the rivers and it runs down to the sea. This is called surface run off. The whole process is called The Water Cycle.

  14. The Water Cycle has four words i.e:evaporation, condensation, precipitation and surface-run-off.Evaporation is when a liquid turns into a gas.Condensation is steam forming a cloud.Precipitation is when it rains and surface-run-off is when rainwater takes part in a waterfall and goes back to the sea again. 15. the water cycle is when the sun heats up the sea then the sea becomes air then it makes cloud then it rains and there are four words for it they are evaporation condensatation percipiaition surface run off then it happens again

  20. The water cycle, also known as the Hydrologic cycle or the H2O cycle, describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the earth. It has four main steps: Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation and Surface run - off. When the sun shines it heats up a source of water (sea, river, pond etc) which evaporates. The water vapour rises into the atmosphere where it is much cooler, and the vapour condenses to form clouds, containing either water droplets (or ice crystals if it is cool enough). The wind blows the clouds across and when the water particles/ ice crystals get heavier precipitation occurs.
If the water table is low the water which falls on land is soaked into the earth and becomes part of the ground water for animals and plants to drink. But if the water table is high the water goes back to the sea or any other source of water - this is called Surface run - off and the cycle starts all over again...ISHAAN, DOWNING STREET
