This week we have been continuing our topic on adventure stories in Year 3. We love adventure stories in Big Ben class!
Which adventure stories are your favourite?
When writing your comment, try and answer these three questions:
1) What is the name of the adventure story and who wrote it?

3) Can you explain why it is one of your favourite stories? What does it have that makes it a great adventure story?
My favourite adventure story is Hayley the Rain fairy from rainbow magic.
ReplyDeleteThe author is a group of people and one of them are Narinda Dhami,Linda Chapman,Rachel Elliot,Sue Bentley,Sue Mongredien and Tracey West.
In the story a wicked person called Jack Frost stole Haley's rain feather. Without it, it was raining continuously and everywhere was water logged. The feather was with one of Jack Frost's silly goblin.That goblin always wanted the Sun feather.So to get It back Rachel,Kirsty and Hayley took a very long feather and painted it Sun yellow.Then they gave the painted feather to the goblin.The goblin thought that was the Sun feather but it was not. After that he traded it for the rain feather.In this way they retrieved the rain feather.After they retrieved the feather Haley went to give Doodle (magic cockerel) the last feather. Then Jack Frost came and froze the silly goblin and also froze Kirsty's locket. Then Doodle came and squirted poop on him then Jack Frost vanished. Then everyone went to fairyland and then the king and queen gave more fairy dust to their lockets. Rachel and Kirsty went back and they lived happily ever after.
I like this story because has lot's of tricks and I liked that.
This was a good adventure story because it has an interesting story line and interesting characters. It was fun to read. Lots of suspense elements.

My favorite adventure story is Beast Quest Addom Blade wrote it.There's a boy named Tom. He is sent out on a Quest to find the key and save their kingdom.I like this story because it has a dragon. The thing it has that makes it a good adventure story is that it has an amazing adventure abut a boy on a quest.

My adventure stories is Peter Pan write by J.M Barrie. Book directly filled with magic and written with unprecedented imagination. It tells about a boy, who did not want to grow up, proves that even that still has all milk teeth. The main character, is not a mere Peter Pan, but Wendy - a little girl who one night when her parents and nanny were absent from the home, along with his siblings left the children's room and went to Neverland - the land available only for children who believe in it. The children come to this beautiful island include mermaids, fairies, Indians, and finally, ruthless pirates, of which Captain Peter will have to once zmierzyć.Jest in the book a lot of magic, fun and adventure. ReplyDelete2. Charlie found a golden ticket in his chocolate bar. He goes to mr wonka's chocolate factory and finds amazing things.
3. There is lots of interesting chocolates that aren't really real which are surprising.

My favourite adventure story is Dino danger by Haydon Middleton. The story is about team x and Mini and Rex were in micro world they had to shrink to get in. It was really hot and the Dino bite was making it even hotter. Then Rex felt the ground rumble the Dino bite was about to make him his dinner Tiger shouted quickly Rex!, fly! Rex flew for all his might everyone ran away and Ant felt the bite's hot breath on his back just then Mini appeared. She was hiding amongst some trees with Max. "This way, quickly!'' she called. "We had to run away this time but we learned something important," said Ant, panting. '' We know that the Dino-Bite can be easily tricked!" The Forbidden valley zone had got hotter and hotter. Team x and Mini longed to cool down but first they have to get the CODE key."We know were to search for the CODE key, but it will be tough to get it from the BITE'S chest," said Max."Have you got a plan?" asked cat." I have," said Max, "but you may not like it!" "We will set a trap," Max explained. ''Cat and Mini, make the Bite run after you. When I give you the signal, guide the BITE towards the big wheel. We'l trip it up and grab the key. Cat blinked. " We may end up as the Dino BITE'S dinner, but it is worth a try ," she said. Cat and Mini did not feel good about this. There first job was to get the BITE'S to notice them. "Oi!'' Cat yelled till the BITE hard her. "You are a worthless worm!'' The BITE saw Cat and gave a an unearthly roar. Then it thundered straight at her. Just before the BITE reached Cat, Mini shouted, "Oi, worm I dare you to catch me!" Cat and Mini kept the BITE running this way and that. At last Max waved . The trap was ready. Cat rushed to words the big wheel. As Cat got closer, she noticed Max's trip wire. Swiftly she shrank and ran under it. The BITE was not saw clever. It tripped and crashed to the ground. Max used his power mitts to roll the BITE over. He grabbed the CODE key and worked it free! The others joined Max - but were was Cat? Then they hard a little cry. "Let me out!" called Cat. Max pulled the BITE'S mouth open and Cat ran out. That BITE'S mouth was the worst place in the world!" said Cat."Let's go," said Mini."I want to feel cool air again" The end. I like the story because it is really exiting and it had good words. It is a great is a adventure story because they go on a adventure to defeat the BITE witch is really fun is well.

My favourite adventure story is Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator .It is written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. In the story Charlie [the main charector] goes in a glass lift up to space. They go in a space hotel and get invaded by a giant worm creature. When they get back his grandparents turn into babies.It is one of my favourite adventure stories because its funny and makes me laugh.By Elliot

The name of the book I read is The Famous Five, Five on Treasure Island, written by Enid Blyton. It does not have pictures but the front cover is by Quentin Blake.
ReplyDeleteIn the story, the three children called Anne, Dick and Julian, go to visit their unknown cousin who is very fierce and has her own island. When the children stay, they teach their cousin, called Georgina (who likes to be called George) good manners. She takes them to her island where the castle stood. George tells the three that there was a wreck of her great-great-great grandfather, so they went to explore the ruins and they found an old box and inside was a map of George's Island, Kirrin Island. Uncle Quentin had then sold the box but the five had took a trace of the map. The men who had bought the box had come to the island to find bars of gold which were marked on the map of ingots. George and Julian become prisoners but luckily Dick rescued them and uncle Quentin phoned the police so the two men were put on jail.
I liked this story because it's exciting. It has lots of adventurous words and lots of detail with powerful verbs. It makes a great adventure story because I could not make out mystery till the end.
My favourite adventure story is "Harry and the Dinosaurs make a Christmas wish" by Ian Whybrow and Adrian Reynolds. The story is about Santa making Harry's special wish come true.I like this story because it is an unusual story about Christmas and presents and Harry's adventures with his dinosaurs.

My best book is called demon dentist, written by David Walliams. In the story its about a boy named Alfie, he was a very naughty boy that loved fizzy drinks and lots of sweets.He gets up to so much trouble and refuses to go to the dentist but when he does he causes alot of problems. BY RAHEEM KA
ReplyDeleteCharlie and the Chocolate Factory is my favourite adventure story because it has a lot of cool stuff in the book. Roald Dahl wrote this very awesome book. Charlie is a very kind boy and wants to meet willy wonka at his very special chocolate factory. But to enter you need to get a golden ticket. Very naughty children earn these golden tickets. Will Charlie get his golden ticket and meet mr wonka? Read the awesome book by Roald Dahl to find out. I like this adventure story because it has a golden ticket and they look amazing and it has chocolate in it and I really love chocolate and it is a very exciting story and your always thinking what could happen next.
