This week has been Victorian week in Big Ben class and we have been looking at Victorian transport and comparing it to today. What have you found out about Victorian transport?

  1. I love the penny farthing because it is named after a penny and a farthing. If I could have a penny farthing I would probably put a strap on it to keep me safe. But it still lookes like it might be fun.

If it was safe I would get one but I don't think it is safe. Maybe to improve the bike we could put tow seats on it just like a tandem.

  2. I have learned many new victorian vehicles i.e:
The penny farthing (like a bicycle but not very safe)
    The omnibus (a bus)
    The harleybus
    A carriage.
My favorite vehicle is the carriage.

  3. I have found out about Victorian transport that a Penny Farthing is named after a penny that is 1 pence and a farthing that is half of a penny.

It looks fun but it is not that safe. You might fall of because you might not have your balance. Some people think its safe when it is not.

Kids can't even get on it.So they built a bike that is smaller.so in the modern times children could get on the bikes and travel.

It used to be very hard to get on.so they put a short, fat pole so adults can get on.It used to have lots of Penny Farthings but in the modern days we don't have them any more.
