Can you describe this wintery
setting? Write a descriptive passage using adjectives, adverbs and a range of
language that will help to paint an image in the readers mind.
Homework is due in on Thursday 12th
December.
The picture is set in a frosty arctic day.The day seems bleak and grey.
ReplyDeleteThe sky looks dull,stormy and overcast.The sky also has different shades of grey.It Is dark and there is no Sun.
The trees are bare of leaves and very tall.They look like skeleton trees.There are snowflakes on the tip of the branches.
The ground is covered in snow.There are footsteps on the snow.The ground looks barren.I can see a sedentary bench faraway.

This is a snowy,windy and cold place. With it's trees swishing and swaying. A wintery
ReplyDeleteand freezing place to be if you go you will be freezing just like all the others who already live there. I know that I wouldn't like to live there because I might freez into a ice cube. This place is a cloudy and stormy place with dark,thundery clouds. It is a spooky and scary place.
The trees are full of amazing snow and the road is frozen with shiny ice.The sky is grey because it is winter and trees loose there leaves and the sun becomes cold.The paths are full of footprints and snow.There are no flowers or animals living in there homes and as amazing as it can be and the snow is very dark.

This picture isn't colorful-it is grey.The trees look magical-even they lost leaves.It is beautiful view when backround bushes and trees are covered in white,fiuffy snow.I hope in this winter will be snowing,because I dream to make a snowman.

ReplyDeleteThis picture is showing us a white,cold and snowy day. It looks like a dark sky and white snowy ground with lots of footprints.
Description
The sky is Gray with dark and snowy clouds. I think it is going to be snowing very heavily again sooner the snow will double . The trees have not even one leaf on it's branches to be seen because in winter times it gets cold and leaves died or fall of trees that are trying to prepare for the cold hard winter. The ground is full of snow. It is like someone has put a huge white cloth with a few little black spaces witch are footprints in the deep snow. I think it will take more than one day two melt that snow because it looks like when another part of the heavy snow falls it will be really hard to melt the snow.

The wintery setting looks like night is falling and it has snowed during the day. The snow has covered all the ground and there are curvy and winding tracks in the snow. Also it looks freezing cold out side and the sky is grey and dull.

I woke up cold and shivering ,I looked out of my window and all I could see was sheets of snow .I jumped out of my bed and got ready to go into the freezing cold .The green fresh park was turned into a blanket of shivering cold snow .The trees were turned into pointy sharp icicles ,the trees were also had no leaves the leaves on the floor were crunchy and hard . The bright yellow sun was hiding behind the dark,thick clouds.There was dark, untidy footprints holes in the white soft snow.

ReplyDeleteThis wintry setting has lots and lots of snow. It looks a bit like Christmas Day. The sky is dark, ugly and grey. The trees are covered in snow. The ground is covered in snow. Everything is covered in snow! It is probably about to rain heavy. It looks like an interesting place to spend some time there even though it might be cold. You could build snowmen or have snowball fights. It would make me excited and scared if I visited this wintry setting. It would make me scared because what if there are snow monsters....

ReplyDeleteThe Winter Wonderland is a snowy park, like the North Pole.This park has leafless, barren trees as brown as a peasant's clothes. There so much to discover and explore. It has an empty, wooden bench which is not often used. The snow there is as white as a new,clean piece of paper and as soft as feathers. Above you will see dark,grey clouds staring down at you. After having a walk there look down because there will be muddy footprints everywhere which are very deep and in the distance there'll be a row of grassy green bushes covered in snow. It is so nippy there that you'll turn into a ice-cube.

This Picture looks beautiful but bare without the leaves.The sky is grey and cloudy but snow is white and slushy in which you could walk in or make a lovely snowman.

This is a country side setting it's winter time and the snow has covered the area, there are tall trees that all the leaves have fallen from. It looks very peaceful and relaxing.
