One of my favourite books is The Sheep Pig by Dick King-Smith. It's a fantastic tale about a little pig who wants to win a sheep dog competition and let's nothing stand in his way!
I like to read Little White Owl. It's about a little white owl who lives in the snow and he doesn't have a mummy. He doesn't have a daddy and he doesn't even have a name. Aayan
One book I really enjoyed reading in year 1 was Tiger That Came To Tea by Judith Kerr. It is about a hungry Tiger who turns up at Sophie's house and begins to eat all the food in the house including Daddy's dinner!
My favourite book is called Penny Dreadful. It is illustrated by a pretty girl called Joanna Nadin. Penny Dreadful has got three stories in it. They are called Penny Dreadful becomes a hairdresser, Faithful sidekick and The School Inspector. My favourite one is The School Inspector. Penelope Jones has to answer questions like “How many times have you sat on the naughty chair?”.Penelope answered back”27 times” which is how many times in that term(she’s 9 years old so she’s in Year 5).I like that story because I like the way they’ve used the word flummoxed in the story and it’s so special because it’s a more exiting word than using confused all the time. So that’s why I love Penny Dreadful the best. It’s the most mischievous book I have ever read. Anya
There is a whole series of Penny Dreadful books and you can order them online. She's a magnet for disaster and she has rosy red cheeks with dark, black hair. She also has a purple shirt covered with flowers and stars.
I like Roald Dahl because George is scard of grandma he wants to put a long snake under her back because grandma is a witch so George make's a powerfull medicine. nimla
I like The Beast Quest-Ferno The Fire Dragon by Adam Blade. The book is about a little boy called Tom, who went on a beast quest. In the story he defeated the fire dragon Ferno. I love the book because it is full of actions and adventures. The best part is that the story had a happy ending.
Last Thursday I got Tamara the Tooth Fairy (I already told Mrs Gale) and on Saturday I got Penny Dreadful is a complete CATastrophe,and by CATastrophe I mean there was a cat that was a catastrophe. I just love books!!! Anya
My favourite book is Frankie's magic football.Its about about a boy and his friends who love playing football.They play a match against pirates.they win three tow.
I love Beast Quest. The thing I like is that it has scary chapters like....chapter 9 which is the Beginning!. The thing I don't like is that the people who made the book didn't add lots of pictures.

One of the books I love is called 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers. It's about a boy who unexpectedly finds a penguin on his doorstep, and the adventure that follows. The pictures are very beautiful and they help tell the story. It makes me smile every time I read it!!
I read a book called a magic porridge pot it was my mums book when she was little its 30 years old. Its about a magic pot that did not stop cooking porridge and flooded the city. RaheemKa

My new favourite book is star wars the clown wars, decide your destiny,Dooku, secret army. It,s made by Sue Behrent. It,s a good book telling all most more than it is suppose to. It is about Count Dooku having a secret army and Plo koon discovered that.And he fot Count Dooku to get his friends back on the light side. Finally he forrst him far far away to a different land. My favorite book this term is Jake Cake: The School Dragon by Michael Broad. It is about a boy in the school who goes to the office to find out why the heating wasn't on and he met a dragon. The book I've just read is called 'The Battle For Christmas' by Jeremy Strong who writes all kinds of crazy books e.g:-Lazy Kow saves the World-Well Almost.
This story's setting was a dark,old Christmas shop which Santa visits to get his toy delivery.This was important to the story because otherwise what could be the setting for the cosmic pyjamas to take Ellie and Max?
The characters of the book were wonderfully designed as for my favourites were Blondie and Aysha,the glamour dolls.The main characters were called Ellie and Max.Ellie was a 10 -year-old girl who likes wearing a stripy shirt and has bumpy freckles.Max is a mad boy who is 6-year-old and loves dinosaurs. Ellie says if you cut the top of Max's head you would see a group of tiny dinosaurs running around.
My favourite part of the book was when Ellie and Max won the battle with a fashion disaster and when Max found Aysha's leg in the under-stair cupboard. From the book I learnt that sometimes people speak the truth.The title of the story was important because in the middle there was a battle.I would recommend it for all ages except over 20-years-old,they won't have much interest.
Book Review of The Battle for Christmas by Jermy Strong
The book was about two little children called Max and Ellie.They got cosmic pajamas from their grandma on Christmas.When Ellie wore the bottom and the top at the same time they got transported to a Christmas Shop. There they got shrunk to toy size.The adventure went on from there. There was a battle fought between the toys,Ellie and Max and a snowman with it's tiny Christmas fairy soldiers. You have to read the book if you want to find out more. At the end of the story a picture of their house appeared and they were whooshed back home.The end was happy because they won the battle and they got back home.I liked the part best when they won the battle because I never thought that they would win.I didn't like the part when it ended because I wanted to read more.
I have just started reading Three of Diamonds. I like it because its very interesting and its a fun mystery book. it has three stories in one and one is called I know what you did last wednesday. It is about the worlds worst detective called Tim Diamond. The author is Anthony Horowitz Hannah
My favorite book is Angel mouse because It has funny things inside the book One part i like is when angel mouse finds his paper and finds Quilly and helps him and past the angel test did you know that he has got wings he said to Quilly "that he is learning to be an angel at angel school." My book review is on Jennifer the Babysitter Fairy written by Mandy Archer from the group of authors called Daisy Meadows.
The story was about some naughty goblins stealing a fairy called Jennifer 's three magical objects called the magical toy box, snack pack and night light.The toy box makes playtimes go well, the snack pack makes sure that the babies' food is healthy and the night light gives the babies a peaceful sleep. She asked help from her friends Rachel and Kirsty.
The main characters were Jennifer, Rachel and Kirsty. Jennifer had shiny, orange and pink wings with a stripy, yellow and orange t-shirt and blue, denim shorts.She is also wearing a spotty scarf with blue trainers and black leggings. Rachel and Kirsty are always wearing different clothes and their skin is peach. Rachel has golden, curly hair and Kirsty has black hair bun.
My favourite point of the book was end because Jennifer got her objects back. It was interesting!!
This book made me think of babies being happy. From reading the book I learned that you should be nice to babies or they won't be nice to you. The title of the story was important otherwise you won't know the name of the fairy. I would recommend this book for girls any ages. I give it 10 marks out of 10.
Diary of a wimpy kid is about a boy called Greg Heffley who watches TV most of the time. I like it because Greg played with barbie toys and its really funny. It's also really funny when Rowley (Greg's friend) ate the cheese touch which is kind of like a disease. This book is part of a series.I can't wait to read the rest. By Elliot
I have learnt alot of things from this book called Whose Crazy Idea Was That? I learnt that people got their inventions from silly ideas or smart ideas.I also learnt that silly ideas could make amazing inventions. Also if you did some kind of silly thing to your inventions it led to another new invention. I learnt that Thomas Edison worked very hard on his invention called the Phonograph because he worked on it for 52years.I also learnt that Leonarda da Vinci built some of the flying machines we have now.I also learnt that the first submarine was built in 1620.
I have learnt a lot of things from the book Who's Wacky Idea Was That. I learnt that people got their inventions from silly ideas or smart ideas. I also learnt that silly ideas could make amazing inventions. Also if you did some kind of silly thing to your invention it could sometime lead to a new invention. I learnt that Thomas Edison worked very hard on his invention called the Phonograph because he worked on it for 52 years. I also learnt that Leonardo Da Vinci built some of the flying machines we have now. I also learnt that the first submarine was built in 1620.

We have also just finished reading Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face and the Badness of Badgers by John Dougherty, It is hilarious.
This term we are learning about the Mayas in class. They were from Central America.
